Remember how it was
Always wish we could go back
A time when nothing mattered
It seemed we were the world
Those days are gone
And all thats left are these indigo dreams
Sown together by strings of memory
And beads of hope
These are the indigo dreams
The sound of our laughter
Going on forever and ever
You playing that song
Me singing along
Where is that song now?
It is lost in these Indigo dreams
Sown together by string of memory
And beads of hope
These are the indigo dreams
All thats left is tears
Emptiness and feelings of loss
All that is left is two
There was once three
What happened to us
All thats left is indigo dreams
The thread tattered
The beads cold and hard
These are the indigo dreams
Do you ever dream of Indigo
Think of days long ago
Do the memories flood into your mind
The beads and string dangle from my wrist
These are whats left of Indigo
Dreams
Indigo dreams

FAVOURTIE BIT
The smooth, easy rhythm and flow of this made it so easy for me to harmonise a melody with it. It's deep and soulfully written with fitting methaphors that exemplify the beautiful melancholy (yes i do love using that word hehe) of this song. It's honest and real and gets you thinking, which shows how good it is!
I can see this working so so well on acoustic guitar, colbie caillat-style or even with kate nash's snazzy piano grooves; heck you could even go all out imogen heap on this one!
this is a delicious tune me girl, love it! whoa oh oh,
whoa oh oh..ooh la!
I think maybe you could've added two more lines to round off "The thread tattered/The beads cold and hard" to give it a more completed rhythm before going back to indigo? just a thought.

Lets Put A Smile On That Face!
melancholy is a great word and so defines this song. and i am glad you find it honest because you know i wrote this one for a reason and it is like my most secret feelings are put in words with this one, it is one of those soulful songs that i wrote a little while back and it was one filled with tears and sorrow. so i am glad you said that
it would work really well on acoustic guitar (which i have) and i was thinking slow drally piano verging on memory. and Imgogen Heap is the greatest Compliment to me, because she would be someone i would love my style to project, she tells vivid stories in her lyrics, and even through the sound of the music! so i love it.
and i hope you show me this tune thatyou have in yer head. when i first thought of this song i thought deffinitely ballad. but if you get what i mean by memories lost, like an errie feel to it and what not. (do you get what i mean)
And you know i think maybe a couple more lines would enhance it. and i like those lines you said they are perfect.. i think now it is ended. LOVES YOU!!!
